Do you like to run and feel like doing it vertically? In the city of New York there’s an annual competition known as the Empire State Building Run-Up (ESBRU).

It is a tower race, the first in the world where you have to climb the 86 floors of the building, with its 1,576 steps to reach the finish line. In the elevator you rise the 86 floors in less than a minute, the fastest runners do it in less than 10 minutes.

There are only 320 meters or 1,050 feet away. The men’s record is in 9 minutes 33 seconds and the female in 11 minutes 23 seconds. Do you dare to challenge?

It is necessary to sign up in time, as registrations close approximately three months before the race. Then, you enter a draw, and if you are chosen, you must pay the participation fee.
